Casteljaloux – Parc St Vincent

Casteljaloux

The small village of Casteljaloux is an old medieval city of which only a few vestiges remain today.

Discover its Tourist Office, former Maison du Roy, its Cordeliers chapel and its cloister where many members of the Albret family were buried or its Notre Dame de l'Avance church rebuilt between the 17th century. and XVIIIth centuries.

Castlejaloux is also its municipal park and its castle which once hosted Jeanne d'Albret and Henri de Navarre. There is nothing left of this castle now, except for a small wing tip.

The route continues with the old Casteljaloux and its row of half-timbered houses. You will find them in the streets of Veyries, Maqueboeuf and Posterne. The conservation of certain facades is simply remarkable

Casteljaloux is a small village which offers its visitors many activities. In addition to guided tours, you can take advantage of its lake, golf and tree climbing.
