Brandy enthusiasts, mark your calendars for the 26th and 27th of October 2024 for the 23rd edition of the Armagnac Festival—known locally as Armagnac en Fête—held in the picturesque commune of Labastide-d’Armagnac, Landes, in Nouvelle Aquitaine.

For over 20 years, this annual festival has welcomed visitors to celebrate the start of the Armagnac distillation season in the Bas-Armagnac terroir of the Gascogne region. This year, the festival will take place in the heart of La Bastide d’Armagnac, at the Place Royale, and promises a packed schedule of fascinating activities!

You can expect to sample a variety of Armagnacs at the producers’ market, partake in the Armagnac Festival Meal, and enjoy thrilling cultural performances. Various concerts, live music, and dance will add the festive atmosphere. Most importantly, you’ll get to witness the traditional distillation process of Armagnac in copper alembic stills and discover how this historic brandy is made.

Don’t miss the traditional course landaise or the spectacular flaming Armagnac ladle display. If you’re interested in exploring the bastides, guided tours will be available.
