Châteaux en Fête, an annual event in the Dordogne region of France, is one of the best events the department of Dordogne has to offer. This celebration of the region’s impressive châteaux, or castles, happens every April. During this time, many of the châteaux open their doors to the public for special tours, events, and activities.

The 4th edition of this event is scheduled to run from April 13 to 28. For over two weeks, 84 stunning castles/ residences across the Dordogne region will offer a wide range of activities to suit all tastes and interests of the visitors.

Apart from exploring the châteaux, there’s plenty more to do during Châteaux en Fête. Visitors can enjoy medieval re-enactments, falconry demonstrations, and sample delicious traditional French cuisine. There are also numerous activities for children, including face painting, animation, games, and arts and crafts.
