Bordeaux Wine Festival 2025

The Bordeaux Wine Festival (Bordeaux Fête le Vin) is a prestigious annual event celebrating the region’s rich winemaking heritage. Held along the scenic quays of the Garonne River, this festival attracts wine enthusiasts from around the world, offering a unique opportunity to explore the diverse wines of Bordeaux and its surrounding appellations in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Visitors can meet local winemakers, taste a wide selection of regional wines, and immerse themselves in Bordeaux’s vibrant wine culture.

This year’s festival runs from June 19 to 22, transforming the Bordeaux riverfront into a sprawling open-air celebration of wine, food, and tradition.

Main events at the Bordeaux Wine Festival 2025

The Tasting Route

The “Wine Route” is central to the festival, featuring nine pavilions this year where attendees can sample the diverse wines of the region. Winegrowers and merchants offer tastings of white, red, rosé, clairet, and crémant wines, showcasing the region’s rich variety. This year’s pavilions include Médoc wines, White Bordeaux, The Côtes, Saint-Émilion – Pomerol – Fronsac, Nouvelle-Aquitaine wines, Rosés, Clairets and Crémants, Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur reds, Graves – Sauternes, and Mouton Cadet.

The Gastronomic Village

The Gastronomic Village offers a delicious selection of local specialties to complement the wine tastings. Visitors can enjoy Gironde cheeses, Basque charcuterie, Landes duck, Corrèze ice cream, and Bordeaux’s famous cannelés. Food trucks will also serve fresh fish from Cap Ferret, locally sourced farm products, and Limousin meats.

The Tall Ships

The festival hosts impressive tall ships at the quayside every year, with visitors able to board and observe these historic ships at close quarters.

The Drone Show

The spectacular drone show lights up the evening sky over the Garonne River. Past drone displays have used over 500 drones to create choreographed light performances celebrating Bordeaux wines and biodiversity. Admission to the festival ground is free, so everyone can enjoy the drone show. The 2025 displays takes place on June 20 and 21.
