From 18-19 January 2025, immerse yourself in the magic of the Sarlat Truffle Festival, a two-day celebration dedicated to the legendary Périgord black truffle—also known as the “black diamond” of gastronomy. This event is a must-visit for food lovers, chefs, and truffle enthusiasts from around the world!

For two days, the streets of the medieval town will come alive with sales stands, exhibitions, cooking demonstrations, workshops, stalls of regional delicacies, and fresh Périgord truffles brought by local farmers. It’s your chance to indulge in local specialities and purchase truffles of exceptional size, shape, and flavour at fair, professionally set prices.

Get hands-on with discovery workshops, where you’ll learn the art of identifying and judiciously selecting genuine truffles. Watch talented chefs showcase the art of creating truffle-inspired dishes—from creamy risottos to foie gras pairings—and witness live demonstrations as trained dogs unearth nature’s hidden treasure.

Amidst wine tastings and family-friendly pursuits, you can book an intimate cooking session with a skilled chef. In a small group of 11 to 12 people, you’ll learn the art of enhancing the exquisite flavour of Périgord truffles—a skill to savour and proudly share back home!
